Cookie policy
Which cookies Vagilant uses, what each one does, and how to control them.
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Vagilant uses as few as it can get away with, and none of them profile you for advertising.
What we use
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
vagilant_session |
Keeps you logged in and remembers your place in the assessment. Without it the site cannot work. | Until you close your browser, or 2 hours idle |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Security. Stops other sites from submitting forms as you (cross-site request forgery protection). | Session |
remember_web_* |
Set only if you tick "remember me" at login, so you stay signed in. | Up to 5 years, or until you log out |
All three are strictly necessary cookies. They are required for the site to function and to keep your account secure, so they cannot be switched off from within the site.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party trackers, social media pixels or data brokers.
- No cross-site profiling of any kind.
Given how sensitive vaginal health data is, letting an ad network anywhere near this site is not something we are willing to do.
Analytics
We do not currently run any analytics on this site. If that changes, we will use a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only tool, ask for your consent first where required, update this page, and never connect analytics data to your health information. [TO CONFIRM: no analytics deployed at time of writing.]
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser has controls under privacy or site settings. Blocking the cookies above will log you out and prevent the assessment from working, since they are what keep your session alive.
